Provost Search Update #5

Dear Faculty and Staff,

As the semester rapidly draws to a close, we write to update you on the Provost Search process. The committee has been working diligently to review a strong application pool and identify candidates for advancement to the next stage.

Final candidate interviews will be held beginning Wednesday, April 28, and will conclude no later than Thursday, May 6. We anticipate virtually hosting 3-4 final candidates and request that you hold the following dates and times for the open forums:

Wednesday, April 28, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 29, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Monday, May 3, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 5, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The open forums will provide each candidate the opportunity to share a brief presentation while also leaving a significant portion of time for Q&A. The open forums will be held as a virtual webinar, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in the webinar format. Additional details about access to the open forums will be provided in future communications.

In addition to the open forums, candidates will meet with a variety of groups on campus. In creating the schedule for our final candidates, we wanted to share that the search committee made every effort to include as many campus groups and individuals as possible while prioritizing those who work most directly with the Provost or represent major initiatives or activities on campus. While we are sensitive to and understand that everyone who would like to meet with the candidates has not been included in these meetings, we encourage you to reach out to the search committee representatives with questions, concerns, or comments for our candidates.
