Provost Search Update #3

February 25, 2021

Dear Faculty and Staff:

We'd like to express appreciation for the strong interest and engagement from our campus community in the recent listening sessions and survey that were designed to help draw focus to the most pressing challenges we face as a campus -- and the characteristics desired in the next Provost to help meet those challenges. We had over 210 responses. The results of the listening sessions and survey have been shared with the search committee and AGB Search (the firm assisting us throughout the process). The feedback from campus was instrumental in creating the position announcement and qualifications. Thank you!

Details about the search, including the position announcement, description, and committee membership are available on the Provost Search website at: https://provost-search.uni.edu/ We encourage you to bookmark the site and check back periodically for updates.

While a very comprehensive plan has been developed to advertise the position, we are requesting your assistance again to utilize your professional networks and personal contacts to help share word of the opportunity and ensure that we attract the best pool of candidates possible. Please feel free to share the search link or cut and paste the announcement from the site.

To ensure best consideration, applications and nominations should be received by March 26, 2021. Between now and then the search committee will be developing interview questions and the processes that will be used in selecting candidates.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
